Programme
Day 1
We will be welcomed at Farmhouse Resort in Lanuvio. Enjoy an aperitif and have a delicious dinner based on local produce.
Day 2
We will walk through the side streets and the stories of Nemi, Ariccia and Frascati together with our local expert. We will admire the amazing view of the lakes and have a lunch among the scents of the Castelli Romani wine.
In Ariccia, we will visit to the Chigi Palace, one of the most important museum of Baroque, famous for having been the Gattopardo film setting.
We will then move to Frascati to end our day with a round of drinks at winery.
Day 3
Together with a guide explore the Giardini di Ninfa is a picturesque botanical garden located in the ruins of the medieval town of Ninfa, near Rome, Italy. Known for its romantic atmosphere, the garden features a rich variety of plants, colorful flowers, and tranquil streams flowing alongside ancient stone walls and ruins. A haven for nature lovers, this enchanting site offers a perfect blend of history and natural beauty, creating a peaceful and magical escape.
Day 4
Castel Gandolfo, place of residence for emperors and pontiffs, romantically described by poets and travelers of the Grand Tour. Our tour will begin among flavors of the gardens and the stunning Pope Palace. We will visit the Pope farm and prepare a delicious lunch together with our chef using fresh ingredients. We will admire the lake from the most suggestive view point.
In the afternoon we will visit Castel Gandolfo and then back to our farmhouse.
Day 5
Depart for Rome, where you’ll meet our expert guide and embark on a journey to discover the hidden gems of the Eternal City. Together, you’ll explore charming, lesser-known neighborhoods, uncovering fascinating historical sites and architectural wonders that showcase Rome’s rich heritage. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to indulge in authentic local cuisine, savoring the flavors of traditional Roman dishes and experiencing the city’s vibrant food culture
Day 6
We will walk along the Via Margutta and listen to stories starting from the Renaissance period up to the modern film industry. We will then admire Caravaggio’s paintings on canvas kept in Santa Maria del Popolo and then cross the residential area once belonging to artists and poets. We will enjoy the places where the most famous scenes in “Vacanze Romane” were filmed and then end our walk in Piazza di Spagna, near the house (today a museum) where the romantic poets, Keats and Shelley once lived.
