Long and gigantic torches illuminate the Molise “contrade” offering spectacular shows with fire, dances and choreographies still performed after a millennium.
Highlights:
- We will meet the members of a contrada

- We will attend rehearsals for carrying the torches
- We will watch the spectacular fire parade of the Ndoccie

- We will discover how bells are made by visiting a foundry
- We will taste one of the ten best panettone in Italy

Programme
Day 1
We will be greeted by Mammì Inn. To follow, briefing on the ‘Ndocciata, aperitif and dinner with local dishes.
Day 2
Discover the archaeological excavations in Pietrabbondante. To follow, we will enjoy our lunch in a winery and visit Fornelli village. Dinner in a typical “trattoria”.
Day 3
Explore the shed where the ‘Ndoccie are kept and have breakfast together with the “contradaioli”. We will then visit the library and taste special sweets. Visit to the Pontifical Bells Foundry.
Watch the ‘Ndoccie parade: long and gigantic torches illuminate the Molise “contrade” offering spectacular shows with fire, dances and choreographies still performed after a millennium.
Before going to sleep we will dine at the Inn.
Day 4
Visit to a dairy specialised in the production of “Caciocavallo” cheese.
